-The Arkansas Razorbacks have a chance to win the SEC Western Division title for the first time in 15 years. Hard to believe. The 1994-1995 season was the Razorbacks second season of a back to back national championship game run. Arkansas beat Duke in 1993-1994 to win the national championship. UCLA defeated Arkansas in the national championship game of the 1994-1995 season.
-USA Hockey defeated a heavily favored Canada for the first time since 1960 in olympic play. The USA now stands at 6-10 against Candad. Now the USA has a chance to win it's first gold since the 1980, "miracle on ice" team.
-The Cleveland Cavaliers are now 0-3 since the Antawn Jamison trade when they fell to the Orlando Magic yesterday. It has to be wondered if Amare Stoudamire would have made more of an impact. The Cavs are a sure Eastern Conference contender, but they will likely have to go through Orlando to get there. The Magic took the Cavs in 6 games last year only to lose to the LA Lakers in the finals.
-Can anybody beat the Yankees? Who will be the contenders to the New York Yankees crown this season? It will be tough the Yankees seem to have sured up what pitching issues they did have last season with the addition of inning eater Javier Vasquez and outfield defense with Randy Winn. Who is the team to challenge the Yankees. I will give you two teams St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies.
